There was great excitement as we departed for Dublin at 8.20am today. After a quick visit to the toilets, we boarded the amphibious DUKW vehicle. We learned a lot about Dublin, as we pretended to be Vikings, on the Viking Splash Tour of Dublin. Then the vehicle drove into the Grand Canal Basin and turned into a boat!! We had a scenic cruise around the harbour in the Dublin Docklands. And the youngest child on board got to be the captain!! Afterwards, we had lunch in St. Stephen's Green Shopping Centre. On the way back to the bus, we decided to go to the playground in St. Stephen's Green. The sun shone and we had a lovely time. We arrived back to school around 4pm. Thank you to the Viking Splash Tour driver who made the tour such fun.
